This department mainly focuses on surgical procedures for lung cancer, esophageal cancer and other thoracic tumors, surgery-dominated comprehensive treatment, scientific researches and teaching of thoracic tumors, and specialized in diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, esophageal cancer and mediastinal cancer. The department has successively carried out a number of new medical techniques and accumulated rich clinical experience. Its clinical applications and experimental studies are at advanced levels at home and abroad, such as postoperative protection of chest function, trachea carinal resection and reconstruction, bronchoplasty and bronchial angioplasty, pneumonectomy and sleeve resection.
