Comprehensive service is a major highlight of Fuda's distinctive services.
Fuda Cancer Hospital divides its comprehensive service into three main stages: pre-hospital service, in-hospital service, and post-hospital service. To ensure excellent pre-hospital service, Fuda has implemented three major measures:
First, ensure efficient pick-up and drop-off services. For patients coming to Fuda from other provinces or cities for treatment, the hospital provides shuttles to pick them up from the airport or train station, offering assistance such as helping them stow their luggage and ensuring they are seated before driving off;
Second, provide long-distance transportation for patients as needed based on their condition.
Thirdly, upon entering the ward, patients are greeted with warm reminders and blessings from hospital departments. The Hospital prepares an "Admission Instruction" sheet for each admitted patient to facilitate treatment and presents them with a fruit basket wishing them good health.
Regarding in-hospital services, in addition to providing basic services such as treatment and nursing care, Fuda Hospital adheres to the service standard of "putting patients first." The hospital strives to meet any reasonable requests from patients. For example, if a patient needs to pay medical and living expenses in RMB, the hospital will arrange a staff to accompany foreign patients to the bank for currency exchange. To eliminate the anxiety of cancer patients, Fuda Hospital emphasizes psychological resilience and mental health education, ensuring simultaneous treatment of both disease and mental well-being. To this end, Fuda Hospital has specially set up free access to medical knowledge, new technologies, and new treatments materials for patients and their families in the oncology ward, and also holds regular patient forums to provide a platform for patients to exchange ideas, understand their disease scientifically, and strengthen their confidence in overcoming it.
Given the possibility of cancer recurrence and patients' concerns about their condition after discharge, Fuda has launched and strengthened its post-discharge services to alleviate patients' worries. These services include: establishing a medical service center to maintain regular contact with discharged patients, including those from overseas, via email, telephone, or letters; and sending hospital staff to patients' homes for follow-up visits when necessary.
