Recently, the Expert Consensus on Co-ablation Therapy for the Perioperative Management of Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors—formulated by domestic experts organized by the Expert Committee on Radiological Interventional Therapy of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), the Expert Committee on Ablation Therapy of CSCO, the Committee of Ablation Therapy in Oncology of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and the Committee of Tumor Ablation of the Chinese College of Interventionalists—was officially published in the Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine.

Li Yanhong, Associate Chief Superintendent Nurse at the Minimally Invasive Treatment Center of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, was deeply involved in drafting the paper as one of the lead-authoring experts. She possesses extensive clinical and research experience in perioperative tumor care, prevention and control of complications from radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted and immunotherapy, as well as technical innovations in intravenous therapy. Her contribution as a lead author for this authoritative consensus marks another major achievement for our hospital in the development of expert consensus guidelines, reflecting the continuous rise of our academic influence in tumor ablation.

Based on current clinical practice of co-ablation therapy for bone and soft tissue tumors in China, this consensus systematically consolidates and draws upon the latest domestic and international evidence-based medicine and expert experience. By finely categorizing tumors according to their anatomical growth sites, it formulates perioperative management strategies across three critical stages: preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative. The consensus aims to standardize perioperative management, optimize clinical practice, and improve treatment outcomes and quality of life for patients undergoing co-ablation therapy, while providing a professional theoretical and practical foundation for the wider clinical adoption of this technology.

Taking this achievement as an opportunity, Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital will continue to support our experts in high-level academic exchanges and consensus formulation, further strengthen the disciplinary development and clinical research in tumor ablation, continuously enhance specialized diagnosis and treatment capabilities alongside academic influence, and deliver more standardized, high-quality medical services to our patients.
