The 3rd International (Guangzhou) Forum on Cancer Treatment
-Domestic and overseas experts and scholars discuss new concepts and techniques of cancer treatment
The 3rd International (Guangzhou) Forum on Cancer Treatment was held in Fuda Cancer Hospital during August 15th ~17th, 2014. Organized by Jinan University, Chinese PLA General Hospital, undertaken by Fuda Cancer Hospital, the conference was well attended by nearly two hundred experts and scholars and media friends from America, Austria, Russia, China, Japan, Netherland and the Middle East area etc.

The conference was divided into three workshops, which include concept and strategy on cancer treatment; ablation of cancer - cryoablation and irreversible electroporation; prevention & treatment of cancer - gene, protein and cancer stem cell.
Among domestic and overseas top cancer experts gathered in the conference, 21 experts delivered keynote speeches, which included academician from Chinese Academy of Sciences, genomics expert, Professor Yang Huanming; Honorary President of International Society of Cryosurgery, Professor Nikolai N. Korpan; Honorary President of International Society of Cryosurgery, Honorary President of Japan Society of Low-temperature Medicine, Professor Sajio Sumida; Director of Public Health Institute, Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chief for Research of Fuda Cancer Hospital, Professor Li Yinxiong; well-known digestive disease expert, Professor Xiao Shudong.
When it came to the second workshop, President of International Society of Cryosurgery, Chief President of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, Professor Xu Kecheng shared the latest technique of cancer treatment, that is, Nanoknife Therapy with all the experts present, and introduced a new book co-authored with President Niu Lizhi New Technique of Cancer Ablation -Irreversible Electroporation.
In order to achieve effective cancer treatment, improve cancer patient’s survival time and prolong cancer patient’s survival period, Academician Wu Mengchao, Academician Wang Zhenyi, Professor Xiao Shudong, Professor Li Qiao from America, Professor Nikolai N. Korpan from Austria and other 24 domestic and overseas experts proposed to establish Asia-Pacific "Green Cancer Treatment” Research Society. Chief President of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, Professor Xu Kecheng and Professor Sajio Sumida from Japan respectively read out the declaration in Chinese and English, which was met with quickly responses from all the experts present.
