Faldt, who is from Denmark, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and hepatic metastases in September 2018. After diagnosis, he began receiving chemotherapy at a local hospital. During the hospitalization, he met Bent who got the same cancer. Bent said that he was planning to come to Fuda Cancer Hospital for Nanoknife surgery. After talking to Bent, Faldt found that coming to China might be his second option.
Faldt kept in touch with Bent during Bent's hospitalization in Fuda. Bent told Faldt what Fuda looks like and how the Nanoknife treatment goes. Finally, Faldt made up his mind to come to our hospital for treatment.
“Instead of staying at home doing nothing, I prefer coming to Fuda to take a chance. If it works, it will be great”, he said. After undergoing Nanoknife surgery, Faldt made a good recovery and he is still waiting for medical results.
“Those patients like my husband also have a chance to choose minimally invasive treatment instead of only receiving chemotherapy in Denmark…” Faldt’s wife told us. She fully support him to come to China, and actually minimally invasive treatment like Nanoknife surgery gives them new hope.
For Fuda, we also hope that cancer patients can find the most suitable treatment for themselves, and most importantly, we hope to provide patients with more effective, safe, and less side-effect treatment technology and high-quality services at the same time.
