As the Lunar New Year approaches, warmth arrives ahead of the festivities. Staying true to the original mission of medical professionals and committed to safeguarding community health, the Outpatient Department of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital recently partnered with neighboring communities to launch a series of free medical outreach events—delivering convenient, high-quality healthcare services along with heartfelt New Year blessings right to residents’ doorsteps.
From Tangde South Community, to Tianhe District Elderly Home, and onward to Jianghai Subdistrict, the outreach footprint continued to expand—truly realizing the goal of “fewer trips for residents, health services delivered by experts.” The atmosphere at each event was warm and lively, with a steady stream of residents seeking consultations. Medical staff from departments including Internal Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Oncology patiently provided blood pressure and blood glucose checks, offered traditional Chinese cupping therapy experiences, and deliveredpractical, easy-to-understand health education. Topics covered included chronic disease management for hypertension and diabetes, rehabilitation for post-stroke complications, monitoring of pulmonary nodules, and cancer prevention and treatment.

At Tianhe District Elderly Home, a special New Year-themed dietary health lecture titled “Healthy Silver Years, Welcoming the Spring Festival” was warmly received. Ning Xueming, Head Nurse of Tianhe Outpatient Clinic, alternated between Cantonese and Mandarin to explain in a friendly and accessible manner the principles of festive dining—“warm, soft, and easy-to-digest foods; smaller, more frequent meals; and a balanced mix of meat and vegetables.” Head Nurse Liu Ping led interactive games that filled the room with laughter. When the conversation turned to classic Guangdong New Year’s Eve dishes, the elderly participants eagerly shared their own family “New Year flavors.” One gentleman joked, “You’re making my mouth water just listening!” Behind the laughter was unmistakable warmth, and in that moment, the distance between hearts quietly disappeared.

In the year ahead, our hospital will continue to uphold the original mission of medical professionals and actively fulfill its social responsibilities. Through regular free clinics, charitable medical services, and public health education programs, we will bring warmer, higher-quality healthcare services closer to the people, contributing further to the high-quality development of healthcare services.

May health and warmth always be by your side.
We wish you and your family:
Good health, abundant blessings, and success in all things!
