The Ten Year Review and Development of China Cryosurgery cum The First National Cryosurgery Collaborative Group Meeting was successfully held in Shenzhen on August19-20, 2010. The theme to this meeting is “United Cooperation, Striving to Develop, Together to Improve”. Adhering to communication, interaction, learning, reference with the purpose of improving the overall level of expertise, with the goal of developing to reach international advanced level, concerning the common hot issues, discussing on development issues, spreading the experience, understanding, new knowledge, new ideas, new methods on cryotherapy during this decade in order to constantly enrich and improve the content of cryotherapy. At the same time, well-known experts from different subjects were invited to give a talk during the meeting. Prof. Zhang Jiren from Guangzhou Zhujiang Hospital of Nanfang University, President of International Cryosurgery Association Prof. Franco Lugnani, and Cancer Hospital of Tianjin Medical University Prof. Guo Zhidun etc also attended the meeting and gave a talk during this meeting.
This assembly also granted “Cryosurgery Expert with Special Contribution to China” title to Dr. Niu Lizhi P.Hd in recognition to his outstanding contribution to cryosurgery in China.
